PORT HURON, MI – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) working in Port Huron made a substantial seizure of narcotics in late July, reportedly seizing over 100 LBS of MDMA, or what is commonly referred to as “ecstasy” or “molly.”
On July 25th, CBP officers assigned to the Area Port of Port Huron were conducting inspections of inbound commercial cargo shipments when happening upon some suspicious vacuum-sealed packages amid some various cargo. Upon further inspection, officials say the officers determined the contents of the vacuum-sealed packages was MDMA, measuring out to approximately 113 LBS of the aforesaid narcotic.
CBP officials noted the commercial conveyance was detained in tandem with the narcotics seizure, pending further investigation by Homeland Security Investigations Border Enforcement Security Task Force Port Huron.
Acting Port Director Scott Opalka issued a statement following the seizure, commending the officers involved in preventing these narcotics from reaching American cities.

Officials did not share the identity of any possible detainees allegedly affiliated with the narcotics seizure.
