Ronnie Radke, the frontman for the eclectic band Falling in Reverse, dropped a merch sale of a new shirt earlier in June which serves as an affront to his critics while also benefitting a non-profit organization intent on addressing the indoctrination of youths in the realm of the extreme edges of LGBTQ lifestyles and identities.
The band Falling in Reverse has been both a lightning rod of popularity and controversy, with the latter of the two largely being the impetus of misinformation and exaggerated interpretations of frontman Radke’s commentary on social and political topics. However, regarding the band’s popularity, a legacy of scene music stardom associated with Radke’s talents alongside a string of undeniable cross-genre hits amidst and following the wake of the pandemic certified Falling in Reverse as an arena act forced to be reckoned with.
Considering the aforementioned, much of the misinformation and exaggerated interpretations revolving around the band’s frontman fomented disdain among the new, younger, generation parading as ‘scene kids,’ who despite indulging in a myriad of heavy music with questionable lyrics and themes have taken issue with Radke’s libelously maligned persona in tandem with his largely moderate takes on modern culture.
With this cornucopia of success and drama, Radke – who is no stranger to pushing back against all sorts of libel and slander – opted to extend a proverbial middle finger to his critics via announcing a merchandise drop where the benefactors of the profits would be none other than the NPO, Gays Against Groomers.
“In honor of Pride Month, I’m releasing a shirt. Since all your favorite bands love to pander to make money off you guys and pretend like they support a cause that they don’t really care about, I’ve made a shirt called Pander Express. Leave the kids alone. And to back up everything I’m saying right now, 100% of the proceeds are going to Gays Against Groomers. Gays Against Groomers is a non-profit and they pretty much, the name speaks for itself. They literally are trying to stop the indoctrination of children at schools and everywhere else.”
We at the Breakdown News have previously interviewed the founder of said NPO, Jaimee Michell, with regard to the organization’s endeavors, which has also been the catalyst of controversy. Considering Gays Against Groomers has been largely focused on the nefarious, but innocuously cloaked, efforts of educators and influencers to confuse youths into pursuing social, pharmacological, and ultimately surgical gender procedures, the group has come under fire over allegations of being anti-trans.
While the above accusations lobbed against the Falling in Reverse frontman and respective NPO can be largely brushed off considering the nuances of the subject matter, the efforts associated with sects aligned with hyper-progressivism are difficult to ignore. Regardless of one’s political leanings, recent times have proven there’s an alarming effort catapulted by fringe minorities and strengthened by mainstream media allies to normalize what could be effectively articulated as chemical castrations of youths. To put it plainly, there are simply some things that shouldn’t be normalized.
