In a day and age where people are questioning the existence of God because they have no faith in the ones claiming to be doing God’s work, we should acknowledge the real men of God and what they do.
Pastor Eldridge R. Sims is the senior pastor at Living Hope Bible Church (LHBC). Standing on teachings of sound doctrine, Pastor Sims, in everything, gives God the glory. There are several things that sets this man of God apart. We are in a time where prosperity preachers are trying to boost membership in ways of popularity and passive behavior. Pastor Sims tells first-time visitors ‘If this isn’t the church for you, we will help you find one.’
On first Sundays, Pastor Sims allows time after sermon for all the money matters of the church to be displayed and discussed with the entire congregation; going line by line, explaining expenses. When posed with the question concerning his practices regarding monetary expenses, the truth in his words could be felt.
I asked Pastor Sims why he felt the need to share the finances of the Living Hope Bible Church (LHBC) his response was “The church needs to be informed with what they give and bring to the storehouse, and need to know what each penny, nickel, and dime go to, to build His (Gods) kingdom.”
Another unique aspect of LHBC is that the associate Pastor, Pastor Juan Romero, holds a Spanish service after the first service via Pastor Sims. Pastor Sims also periodically preaches to the Spanish speaking community along with Pastor Juan to the English/first service.
I was fortunate enough to attend the celebration of the church’s anniversary. Hearing both choirs and seeing the combined bands felt as if I was at a concert for those who go to church rather than “attend”.
When I asked Pastor Sims why this was a necessary practice he said, “God created everyone, we are taught to love everyone, the Spanish speaking population has grown greatly in America, and we want to give the opportunity for them to worship within their culture and I am grateful for our bilingual service.”
There are many people that have not heard of BRICS (Brazil, Russia India, China and South Africa). These nations are involved in an alliance with the intent of destabilizing the United States currency. Pastor Sims not only gave a lesson on the BRICS nations but preached a sermon on the importance of knowing what the Bible says about this. To have a pastor who can show current living in scripture is powerful.
When asked why he feels compelled to intertwine current events with scripture, Pastor Sims explained, “The pastor’s responsibility is to feed the sheep, knowing what’s going on in the world is a part of that.”
There are so many things that sets this man of God apart. The pastor is doing everything in an effort to help as many people as he can.
SECOR is a program that provides boxes of food to families in need, annual backpack /holiday turkey giveaways, to the recent clothing drive. Pastor Sims is also working in conjunction with the local school districts in an effort to position our young high school students to do more and aim higher when obtaining an education.
Colorado school districts have created a system that allows students who do not meet state requirements to receive a certificate instead of a diploma. This certificate in place of a diploma sets children back and fails them for college preparation.
Pastor Sims is far from being afraid of the “cancel culture,” too. Where churches have succumbed to pressures of homosexuals or transgender lifestyles, the Pastor is clear on the matter and says, “It is an abomination and a grave sin”. So, when other churches and preachers stray further from the truth in hopes of popularity, know that there are pastors like Eldridge R. Sims who not only preach the truth but stand on it wholeheartedly.

Definitely a light in this dark society proud that someone is firm on their word… very rare
This article is truly “telling the truth”! It is exciting to have the opportunity to serve with Senior Pastor Sims, and the rest of the leadership team of LHBC. Having served as a Pastor, on foreign and domestic soil, I know how special it is to serve with a man dedicated to preaching and teaching God’s Word. Amen, Pastor Sims!!!
This is an amazing article!! I will agree with the writer Pastor Sims is a a fantastic preacher, and with the help of God, he is an anointed preacher. There is nothing wrong with preaching prosperity in fact, the Bible states in John, 3: 1-2. “I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper & in health as thy soul prosper” I have attended services and really enjoyed Pastor Sims preaching. Years ago. Preachers could not read and the people excepted this. Pastor Sims prepared himself, because education is so important nowadays if you were not a member of this family after you attend one of their services you would love to become a member of this family. God bless Pastor Sims yes and the writer of this article. I am not judging preachers pastors ministers, evangelist, what they teach or preach, but the gospel is true.!
