LAS VEGAS, NV – According to reports, the nearly 30-year-old cold case of Tupac Shakur’s killing has seemingly gained some ground, as the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that a search warrant was executed earlier in July in relation to the rapper’s untimely death back in 1996.
Shakur was only 25 years old when he was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on September 7th, 1996. Despite the case having spawned national headlines at the time of Shakur’s death, and for several years thereafter, the case has yet to result in any arrests since the original incident – but a break in the case may have been unearthed.
While police officials haven’t delved into specific details regarding the executed search warrant or what information led to police conducting it, the search was reportedly conducted on July 17th at an unspecified location within Henderson, Nevada.
